One of our readers, Fatboy Wallace (Roman name = Lardicus Fatticus), writes;
"Dave, what did you do this Monday morning? This is what I did. Got up, had eggs and toast for breakfast, got the kids ready for school, blah, blah, got Nicky off to work blah, blah.
Wandered down the 200yards to Sidmouth police station, blah, blah, blah, put the kettle on and had some tea and toast and some of that cake the old lady dropped in yesterday (I hid it so it wouldn't all get scoffed up). Logged on at work, blah, blah, blah, then had a sausage bap made with sausages from the butchers. All crispy, just how I like them. With some tea. And toast.
Then I made a phone call or two, blah, blah, blah, then went out on patrol and ate two medium Rowes pasties (they didn't have any large ones) and a small cream cake to put me on till lunch. Blah, blah, blah.
Before I knew it, it was 9.45am! I don't know where the time flies.....".
Thanks, Fatboy Wallace, for that insight into life at Sidmouth. I am glad to see that you are keeping the calorie intake up.
Here in Chile we broke camp and biked through mountains of the Reserva National Cerro Castillo before the 26k screaming downhill into the town of Villa Cerro Castillo.
Then we continued, dropping into this massive fiord-like valley along the Rio Ibanez.....
......before deciding that it was too beautiful to rush through - so we camped down by the river and watched the sunset, picking out the distant peaks and glaciers.
But thanks for asking, Fatboy, Mondays are always a special day, wherever and however you spend them.
